Do you need to know how to make 300 dollars fast?
Well, we had a burst pipe.
More of a leak than a burst, but it still necessitated a call to the plumber. Thank goodness the total damage was only in the $300 range.
For a lot of people, $300 is A LOT OF MONEY.
Most Americans have less than $400 saved for an emergency, which means that $300 is a lot of money for most people to come up with quickly. Most people do not have that amount of money waiting in a savings account.
The best way to make 300 dollars fast is to find a task that you can do, figure out how much you can charge for it, and then calculate how many times you need to do it to make $300. You can, of course, do this with any amount of money that you may need for any emergency.
Need $100 now? Want to make $200 in a day? How many tasks do you need to complete to make that happen? Once you have a goal in mind, then you can work towards it quickly and easily. Then, when you need to make quick cash, check this list and see if any of these ideas can help you make money.
So.. what do you do when you need to earn $300 fast?
13 Ways To Make 300 Dollars Fast
1. Work Overtime
Suppose you have a job that allows you to take on some overtime work. This is the quickest and easiest way to get some extra cash in your pocket. Many companies offer extra pay for overtime hours, so you can easily make 300 dollars. Of course, most companies don’t pay out immediately, so you probably won’t see that money right away, but if you don’t need the money immediately then getting more money from your job is a legit way to make $300 dollars.
2. Drive for Uber and Lyft
Depending on where you live and how much availability you have, you can make $300 in a week if you hustle. According to this article in Business Insider, this driver made about $257 for less than 14 hours of work — or about $19 an hour. That is only a few dollars less than the $300 you need to make fast. Put some more hours in, and you can get the $300.
3. Move out and Rent
If you have another safe place to go, consider sprucing up your place a bit and renting it out on Airbnb. Suppose you charge $100 a night or $300 a weekend, then you will see that money reasonably soon.
4. Write for Listverse
Listeverse will give you $100 for writing a list of 10. It works like this: You write your list (10 items per list minimum), yousend it in, we reply and say “Great—we’ll publish it” and send you $100 by PayPal (don’t have an account? just make one—it’s easy and free), or we reply and say “Sorry—it isn’t the sort of thing our readers will love—give it another shot.” Just remember, your list should be at least one or two paragraphs per entry. Do this three times, and you can easily have a $300 day.
5. Sell 3 Sets of Non-Exclusive Printables
Content is king! Bloggers and other content creators need to be constantly churning out content. This constant need for content can get difficult, so they look to others to create content that they can use for their sites. Create a printable and find a group of bloggers to sell it to. Many such groups exist, and if you make an excellent printable, you can sell the same one to numerous bloggers and make a bunch of money. Sell five sets for $20 each if you need $100 now. Do that three times, and you can make $300 fast.
6. Write 6 Articles or Blog Posts
Good writing is in high demand, and if you offer your services at a discount, you will get snapped up. Sell a bunch of articles or blog posts to make a quick buck. For example, you can sell two articles for $50 each and make $100 or 6 articles for $50 each and make $300 fast. If you think there may be a moment when you will need money quickly, network and find groups to sell your freelance writing services to before you need that $100 immediately. Then when you need $100 now, you will have the platform ready for you to use.
7. Clean 3 Houses.
Advertise online or with papers posted in community centers, libraries, etc., that you are available to clean houses. This is hard work but can pay good money- usually in cash. Focus your advertising efforts on areas where people are more likely to have extra cash to spend. You can clean three houses and make $300 fast.
8. Sell Something.
This only works if you have something to sell but look around your house and see what you have. Even things that may not be valuable can bring in some money. For example, old clothes aren’t going to make big bucks, but you can sell a whole bag of baby clothes for a few dollars, which can help you get quick cash. Set up a garage sale outside your home, and you can easily make $200 or $300 in a day.
9. Mow 6 Lawns
Have a lawnmower? Mow six lawns at $50 each and make 300 dollars fast when you need it. If you don’t have a lawnmower, you may be able to rent one, although you will need to mow some extra lawns to cover that expense.
10. Wash 6 Cars
Grab a bucket, some rags, and a vacuum cleaner and get cleaning! Hang up some signs offering quick car washes and start making some money. You can charge $50 for a full cleaning or $20 for just a quick wash. Whatever you charge (and don’t charge too much, or else no one will pay!), keep working till you have the 300 dollars you need.
11. Sell Stuff Online
Head on over to garage sales or thrift stores and buy items that you think will sell well online. Oftentimes, you can find some designer or name-brand clothes, purses, or accessories that you can then resell on Poshmark, eBay, Facebook Marketplace, or other online platforms.
12. Walk Dogs
Pet owners need a lot of help. If you are good with animals then there are many ways you can make quick money. You can charge to pet sit. Pet sitting is an easy way to make money and you can do it while making more money at a different side hustle. Dog walkers can make a good amount of money, especially if you take a few dogs at a time. You can post signs around your neighborhood, offer your services to pet owners directly or sign up to be a pet sitter on Rover.
13. Become a Shipt or InstaCart Shopper
Shipt and Instacart are both great ways to make money while still keeping your full-time job. Once you are approved for shopping, you can make money by delivering groceries or other items. You can set your own hours and take the jobs that work for you. It’s a great way to make extra bucks at night, on your breaks, or on the weekends.
3 Slower Ways to Make 300 Dollars
If you need money but don’t need it as quickly, there are slower ways to make some extra money on the side.
1. Build up a side hustle
this takes a lot of upfront work that will hopefully pay off a bit. However, it is not a quick way to get extra cash. If you are looking for a good side hustle to start, you can check out these ideas.
2. Get CashBack
Sign up for cash back websites like Swagbucks,Ibotta, Rakuten, andTopCashback. Getting cashback is a great way to save and make some money on purchases you are already making.
I admit- this won’t get you tons of real money quickly, but you can get a little bit of cash back on purchases you are already making- when you are in desperate need of money, then every single bit counts! I am a firm believer in always having a little extra cash!
3. Do all The Surveys
Taking paid surveys is another way to make a bit of extra cash. Again, this won’t make you the big bucks, but if you need money desperately, then you can take some surveys when you have nothing else to do- on the bus, waiting in line, and during any other downtime. Online focus groups often pay a lot of money, and if you qualify for an in-person survey, you can make $300 or $200 in just a few hours! To start, check out this list which reviews sites such as Survey Junkie, Vindale Research, and more.
Ensure that your preferred survey site pays in money and not in free gift cards (although those are great too!) if you want the hard cash in your pocket. If you combine this with another side hustle (doing surveys while waiting for the food to be ready for delivery), then you can make money while making money. In my opinion that is the best way to make money!
